Our interdisciplinary team is passionate about making a positive impact, and we are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nutrition to lead our nutrition initiatives and programs.

Position Overview:
The Director of Nutrition will oversee the strategic development, implementation, and evaluation of nutrition programs and policies. This leadership role will focus on enhancing nutrition services and education, promoting healthy dietary practices, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nutrition science, program management, and team leadership, as well as a passion for improving health outcomes at individual and community levels.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement the organization's nutrition strategy in alignment with our mission and goals.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate nutrition initiatives across various departments.

2. Program Development & Management:
- Design, implement, and evaluate evidence-based nutrition programs and interventions.
- Create educational materials and resources for diverse populations, ensuring cultural competence and accessibility.
- Monitor and assess program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvements based on outcomes.

3. Team Leadership:
- Recruit, train, and mentor a team of nutrition professionals (in training) and nutrition support staff.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages professional development and innovation.

4. Community Engagement:
- Build partnerships with community organizations, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to promote nutrition services and education.
- Represent the organization at conferences, workshops, and community events to advocate for nutrition initiatives.

5. Research and Policy Advocacy:
- Stay abreast of the latest research advancements and public policies in the field of nutrition.
- Advocate for nutrition-related policies and initiatives at local, state, and national levels.

6. Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all nutrition programs comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Develop quality assurance protocols and conduct regular evaluations of nutrition services.

7. Direct Client Services:

- Ensure all clients who apply for services are seen and evaluated. 

- Ensure all programs are fully utilized through system improvement.

Qualifications:

- Master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Public Health, or a related field; Doctorate preferred.
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or equivalent Florida Licensure required.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in nutrition program management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing nutrition-related programs or policies.
- Strong knowledge of current nutrition trends, research, and public health policies.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with a detail-oriented approach to program evaluation and reporting.
- Proficiency in using digital tools and technologies for program management and data analysis.
